Stephanie Mckeen LMT, CYI
Steph began her journey of helping others 13 years ago when she attended the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Art to become a Massage Therapist. Upon graduating and beginning her career she soon discovered that Massage Therapy was not only her passion but was only 1 piece of the puzzle in helping others obtain optimal health. That began a quest in finding answers for herself as well as her clients. That led into fitness, becoming the first to bring Zumba to the County which was essentially the "gateway" to helping educate others of the importance of taking care of the body. In the best shape of her life she noticed she felt amazing on the outside but still something was missing on the inside. I would often ponder " How do I connect people to their bodies?" Yoga school led her to that very answer. She attended the Amrit school of yoga in Salt Springs Florida under the direct teachings of Yogi Amrit Desai. Again being a seeker of answers she realized there are still more pieces to learn so currently she is enrolled in The New World Ayurveda's school to become an Ayurveda practitioner learning the Diet and Balance piece of the puzzle.
Steph has also spent the past four years working for the U.S Nordic ski team as their Massage Therapist traveling to Europe on several occasions. Providing Massage at 2 World Championship's, Four Tour De Ski's, and this past year taking part in her 1st Olympic Games in Sochi Russia. She has traveled to many countries Including Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden and Russia. Meeting and working with many peers from other countries as well as Elite athletes.
Steph has also worked for the US Olympic Committee providing Massage Therapy to their bobsled, luge, and skeleton teams. Spending several weeks in Lake Placid NY at The Olympic Training Center under the guidance of Peter Toohey in The Sports Medicine Clinic. Including Bobsled World Championships In Lake Placid, NY. She has worked for the U.S Paralympic Nordic and Biathlon teams in World Cup races and Training camps.
